Synchronisation Technology

In serial data transmission, synchronisation is the method used to ensure that the recipient recognises characters in the order in which they are transmitted.

It also ensures that the recipient can recognise where one character ends and the next begins.

Synchronous communication relies on the clocking mechanism that coordinates the signals between the transmitting and receiving devices to tag groups of data and make them recognisable as meaningful strings of information.

BlueWolf’s ARDG has developed the award winning high speed Multi-Point Synchronisation System known as Echo-Link. Echo-Link is a sophisticated data management tool that can mirror up to 800 remote and/or local data centres concurrently.

Without synchronisation, the recipient would perceive data simply as a series of binary digits with any relevance  to each other.

In boarder terms, data synchronisation technology is the sending and receiving of data between two databases to match the changes that have occurred during their independent existence.
